Sara Dal Gallo graduated in architecture with a thesis relating to industrial design from the Politecnico di Torino.

A life of design

Elastico Disegno was founded in 1998 in a collaboration between Sara Dal Gallo and Beppe Demonte, both later joined by Guido Cherici. The studio carries out product design, communication, concept design and interior design. The Elastico Disegno offices are in the old industrial complex of Fornace Spazio Permanente in Cambiano, near Turin.

Design Paradise – Coffee Packaging Pincers

The design solution converts a spoon-like form into a fastening to keep the Lavazza coffee packaging closed. Usually, after opening, the contents of the packet are emptied into a tin and the packaging is thrown away. Therefore the objective is to add value to the Lavazza wrapping in which the coffee is sold.

Design Paradise - Moka whistle

The design developed in this project is a whistle that safeguards the integrity of the cafetière. Each year one or two cafetières burn out. This piece minimizes that risk. It is therefore a design innovation that has an immediate use. It is an ironic reinterpretation of the whistle that is used in kettles and is of course of particular use in the work environment.
