Francesco Castiglione Morelli
The design of life
Francesco Castiglione Morelli was born in Florence in 1963. After studying arts, he developed experience in a number of areas: from fashion to photography, from comics to animated cinema. He attends the Faculty of Architecture in Rome and is now starting to focus on industrial design.
A life of design
In 1993 he relocated to Milan to work on the design of Swatch products. He then opened his own studio and designs for companies in the furniture, lighting and household industries. He has worked as a design consultant for EPSON printers since 2005.

“Ever since I was a child I have always thought that objectives had a soul. Apart from being taught not to break things and to be respectful of property, I believed that objects had their own life. And therefore I thought that once broken, my toys would end up in paradise and not in a rubbish tip. And in this way, as an adult, having become a designer, I have imagined that even cafetières would grow wings and go up to heaven!”
